Tyla, Ice Spice, And More Slay At Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025

Nearly 40 years later, there is still something so entertaining about celebrities standing on stage and getting slimed. The 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards went down at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday (June 21) and provided another slew of hilarious moments.

Tyla, who won the Favorite Global Music Star award, hosted this year’s show which featured performances by MGK, Katseye, and a dance medley to hit songs “Water,” “Bliss,” “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” and “Abracadabra.” Sabrina Carpenter was the big winner of the weekend, taking home awards for Favorite Song (“Taste”), Favorite Female Breakout Artist, and Favorite Album (Short n’ Sweet).

SZA also received hardware for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Collaboration (“Luther” with Kendrick Lamar). Bruno Mars won Favorite Male Artist, LeBron James won Favorite Male Sports Star, Simone Biles won Favorite Female Sports Star, and iShowSpeed won Favorite Gamer. One of the biggest recognitions went to Rihanna, who won the ICON award and shared words of encouragement in her speech.

“I just want to take this moment to remind all of you that wherever you are right now is significant and crucial to where you are about to go,” she told the audience. “Own your space in this world and know that you are chosen for greatness.” Carpenter, in her usual humorous fashion, thanked the crowd for her awards and promised to continue making clean versions of her horny, expletive-laden hit songs so the youth could continue enjoying them.
