Controversial activist and digital commentator Verydarkman has once again sparked social media uproar — this time targeting popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo in a fiery new post where he questioned her decision to follow him on Instagram while issuing a flurry of fresh accusations.
In a video post shared to his verified Instagram page, Verydarkman expressed shock and disapproval after discovering that Mercy Chinwo had followed his account.
VDM, who is known for his sharp commentary on public figures, took to the platform to directly address her and make his stance crystal clear.
“With all due respect @mercychinwo do not think in your heart that I am those type of people,” he began.
Verydarkman declared that he would never associate with Chinwo or what he described as “the likes of her.” In a strongly worded message, he rejected any affiliation with her circle, going as far as describing it as “damage control.”
“I can never on earth and after earth associate with the likes of you… take your patronage to the people that need it,” he added.
The activist in the video also alluded to Mercy Chinwo’s legal action against him earlier this year, questioned her motive for reaching out now through social media.
“You charged me to court and now you’re following me? Why?” he asked.
Verydarkman further suggested that her actions may be connected to the ongoing royalty dispute between Mercy Chinwo and her former label executive, EeZee Tee, implied that her follow may be linked to an attempt at controlling public perception.
He accused the gospel singer of being involved in what he called coordinated damage control efforts and referenced the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), thanked them sarcastically for aiding the alleged agenda.
“Thanks to your friends at @officialefcc, you guys should finish the job y’all started,” he wrote, before warning: “GOD CANNOT BE PLAYED.”
VDM warned her to unfollow him immediately or face being blocked.

Following the outburst, a review of their social media activity revealed that Mercy Chinwo appears to have unfollowed Verydarkman, possibly in response to his reaction.
As of the time of this report, no public comment has been observed from her account regarding the incident, and the situation has sparked mixed reactions online.
This development comes amid ongoing reports that Mercy Chinwo and EeZee Tee are in talks to resolve their longstanding disagreement over music royalties and intellectual property rights.
While neither party has publicly confirmed the status of those discussions, the situation has attracted attention across gospel music circles and social media.
