Diddy and his sex trafficking trial have been one of the hottest topics of the last few months, but the deliberation phase may be the peak of discourse. The verdict sheet that has been given to jurors in order to decide his fate recently leaked online, revealing that the decision is more complex than people may have expected.
The first count the jurors need to decide on, per TMZ, is racketeering conspiracy. Though they will be answering whether he is guilty or not, they are required to expound that decision by revealing which racketeering acts they “unanimously find were involved in the offense.”
Those acts, which they answer “proved” or “not proved” for, include kidnapping, arson, bribery, witness tampering, forced labor, sex trafficking, transportation for purposes of prostitution, and drug distribution. Jurors also have to individually answer “yes” or “no” for whether the “pattern of racketeering activity” involved the sex trafficking of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, and “Jane,” one of his other accusers.
The rest of the juror sheet is much simpler, as they once again have to answer “guilty” or “not guilty” for the sex trafficking of the two women and Mann Act Transportation, which defines transportation across state lines or international borders to engage in prostitution. During the trial, the prosecution told jurors that Puff could be found guilty of sex trafficking even if just one of the “freak-offs” involving either of the women was driven by force, fraud, or coercion.
As for the charge of transportation for prostitution, this would mean they believe that he took people across either state lines or international borders for the “freak-offs.” The jury has been instructed to put the date on their verdict sheet when they reach one. The foreperson, Juror No. 5, will then sign off.
The Bad Boy co-founder has been on trial since May. He opted not to take the stand, with his legal team fearing that anything he said under oath could negatively impact his pending civil cases. His team did not call any witnesses to the stand either. Cassie, Kid Cudi, former employees, and sex workers all testified and recounted their alleged traumatic experiences with the former REVOLT chairman.
