Controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has publicly addressed the viral rumors linking him romantically with high-ranking female police officers, including the spokesperson of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Josephine Adeh.
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Tuesday July 1st, VDM shared a phone conversation with Adeh, during which he confronted the trending claims that they were in a sexual relationship.
The activist, known for his vocal stance on justice and accountability, calmly asked the Police PRO if she had seen the social media rumors suggesting that she was among “influential female officers” he allegedly slept with. Adeh responded, confirming she became aware of the claims the day before.
VDM then reassured her not to be emotionally affected by the gossip, stated that the rumors were likely instigated by colleagues within the police force.
“Don’t let it get to you,” he advised, pointing fingers at internal police politics as the source of the smear campaign.
After ending the call, VeryDarkMan took to the camera to further debunk the claims. He made it clear that although Officer Adeh is single and within her rights to date anyone she chooses — including him — but averred he maintains a professional boundary.
“If I wanted to date her or any other female police officers I’m working with, I could,” he said. “But I won’t, because I know it will affect our working relationship.”
The activist emphasized that the accusations are baseless and part of a broader attempt to discredit his activism, especially as he continues to speak out against misconduct and injustice.
The viral response to the video has been mixed, with some followers praising his transparency while others criticized the public airing of a private conversation with a senior police official.
