It is always fascinating how people choose to begin a New Year, whether that be quitting alcohol consumption for January, cutting people off, or practical jokes. Waka Flocka Flame seemingly revealed injuries from getting jumped as 2025 kicked off, but there’s a bit more to the story.
On Wednesday (Jan. 1), the Atlanta rapper showed photos of his heavily bruised face and two black eyes, which was allegedly the result of him getting attacked by a group of men. “Can’t believe nobody helped me fight ten [ni**as] off,” he wrote in the caption. “But I’m still standing ten toes.” He doubled down by sharing a Black and white video on Instagram where the abrasions could also be seen.
Not only did nobody help him, but social media users didn’t show any sympathy for him either in the comments. “Maybe you should have used those ten toes and ran,” one fan wrote. “Aren’t you too old for this fighting crap, JS.”
Another user commented on his age, writing, “You too old to be posting this. Too old to not have people around you to help you. (You might be the problem if you are who you are and not one person helped you lol) Too old to be in a position like this. Bad for the brand. Self reflection 2025.”
In related news, Waka Flocka Flame is set to attend the newly re-elected President Of The United States Donald Trump’s Legacy Of Freedom Ball hosted by the Black Conservative Federation later this month; needless to say, one fan might as well have said Waka deserved what he got for supporting Trump given the nature of their comment. “Tell the MAGAs to help you next time,” the user wrote, adding a photo of the 38-year-old rapper and the controversial politician.
Now, here comes the twist. Just two hours after the “Hard In Da Paint” rapper showed off the injuries, he shared an Instagram story video with his face looking pristine.
“Crazy y’all ni**as believe that sh*t,” he said while laughing. It is safe to believe that Flocka used stage makeup to pretend as if he got jumped to either garner sympathy from fans or simply play a practical joke on them. Why? Well, he will have to answer that. It will be interesting to see what other deception comes in the next 364 days of 2025.
