“I think there will be a story unfolding involving Dillan Solomons, watch this space. Due processes will be followed. There are no fights, we are not in a boxing ring. All I said about Dillan Solomons is that we must allow the process to unfold” Mnisi said while Speaking to Andile Ncube on Sports Night Amplified.

Agent responds to Royal AM

That then prompted a quick response from the player’s agent, Grant Nieuwenhuys, who sought to completely remove any doubts that Royal AM were ever in the picture for Solomons, before reiterating that Chiefs were the only club that followed the right procedures and therefore won the race to the player’s signature.

Furthermore, in doing that, Nieuwenhuys went on to confirmed that it was practically a two-horse race between Chiefs and their fierce city rivals Pirates. After doing so, he has Nieuwenhuys has gone on to explain why Solomons turned down the Buccaneers.

Why Solomons turned down Pirates for Chiefs

“Look, respectfully we declined the offer from Orlando Pirates, It was a personal ambition Dillon had where he informed me that he grew up as a Chiefs supporter. Because of this, he said in no uncertain terms that if there was a chance to clinch a move to Chiefs, he would love to go. It was not a money decision, he was given a good deal at Chiefs. Pirates also came in for him, but at the end of the day, he told me to make the Chiefs deal happen. Thanks to the Motaung family, they were pretty fair. Also to Pirates as well, the way they do business, was proper. But they understand where we came from when I informed them Dillon had made a decision to sign for Chiefs.” said Nieuwenhuys to Kick Off.
