A former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Sunday declared that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will crush Boko Haram if elected President in 2019.
He said Abubakar was focused and committed to decimating the insurgents if elected unlike President Muhammadu Buhari, who according to him, released Boko Haram commanders.
In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode stressed that the 2019 election was between a weak and fading outgoing president and a dynamic incoming leader determined to crush the insurgents.
He also commended the Waziri of Adamawa for cancelling his 72nd birthday celebration due to the killing of soldiers in Metele, Borno State by insurgents.
“The choice that is to be made in 2019 is between an outgoing President that is mute when 118 of his soldiers are slaughtered and an incoming President who cancels his birthday celebrations and gives all his birthday gifts to the families of the 118 soldiers that were butchered.
“It is a choice between a weak, fading and discredited outgoing President that releases Boko Haram commanders and a strong, focused and dynamic incoming President that is committed to crushing Boko Haram,” he tweeted.
