Young Thug is in full rollout mode with his forthcoming album Uy Scuti on the horizon. He reminded the world, via the gift he is shipping out to people for promotion, that he will always be one of the most enigmatic rappers ever.
Earlier this week, streamer PlaqueBoyMax revealed that he received a large black box in the mail from Thugger and his team. Inside the box is an enclosure with a live tarantula crawling around. The delivery includes instructions for feeding, providing oxygen, and various other essentials to keep it alive and healthy.
PlaqueBoyMax wasn’t the only recipient, as several other streamers and industry figures also shared that they got the gift from the Atlanta rapper. “Take care of me until we reach UY SCUTI,” the box reads. Check out footage of the gift below.
Perhaps Young Thug felt inclined to send out these gifts as an apology for his album being late. This past April, a billboard teased that Uy Scuti was coming out in May. “UNIVERSE HAS BEEN TOO QUIET. UNTIL NOW,” the billboard read. It included the album title and “5 ?? 25,” which many believed signified the LP would be out in May. It is now June, and fans haven’t received a project from King Slime.
That same month, he made fans feel as though it was album time even more when he released “Money On Money” featuring Future. The legendary Atlanta duo did a reimagining of JAY-Z and Ye’s iconic “Otis” music video and created a lot of hype, with the record being Thug’s first proper release since pleading guilty in the YSL RICO trial and being freed in October 2024.
Nonetheless, the wait continues, but he has kept himself at the top of the conversation with the unique gifts he has sent out. While we wait, check out the “Money On Money” music video below.
