Nigerian singer and rapper Dotman is speaking from the heart and it’s raw, painful, and deeply human.

The Enu Gbe crooner shocked fans with a vulnerable post on Instagram, revealing that he hasn’t seen his children in two years since relocating to the United States. He wrote:

“Today I regret ever deciding to leave Nigeria and move to the USA,”

“I have been struggling so much in silence. Haven’t seen my kids for about two years now. I am grateful to God that I am alive still, but I wish I never moved out here honestly.”

Dotman, born Oladotun Olatunji, didn’t go into detail about the circumstances, but his words painted a picture of a father battling emotional turmoil behind the scenes of fame.

Fans flooded the comments with support, many praising his courage to speak openly about such a sensitive issue. Some even shared their own stories of migration regrets and family separation.

Though the US move may have seemed like the dream, Dotman’s post is a sobering reminder that success abroad can come at a steep personal cost.

In other news, Nigerian singer Reekado Banks is pulling no punches in a new interview where he got candid about his personal life, emotional growth, and the darker side of the music industry.

In a revealing chat on The Esther Show, the Oluwa Ni crooner shocked fans when he disclosed that he is no longer sure about tying the knot anytime soon. This is despite previously expressing his intention to walk down the aisle before the end of the year.

The singer, whose real name is Ayoleyi Solomon, emphasized that his change of heart has nothing to do with his music career. Instead, he chalked it up to personal growth and a better understanding of his emotional needs.

Despite stepping back from immediate wedding plans, Reekado made it clear that he still believes in love and the institution of marriage.

But it wasn’t all soft talk. In the same interview, Reekado Banks raised eyebrows with a bold claim. He alleged that there is a powerful, unnamed figure in the music industry who has been exploiting young talents.
