Diddy and his legal team won’t stop trying to find him a way out of this sex trafficking trial and any additional jail time. They intend to file for a mistrial because a Black juror was removed from the jury.
His team sent a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, expressing their belief that the prosecution is trying to get the juror removed due to his race. The prosecution claimed that they did not approve of the juror’s responses in the questionnaire that decided whether they would be part of the jury or not. Notably, five of the twelve jurors are Black, and eight of them are people of color.
Prior to the juror’s dismissal today (June 16), Puff and his legal team argued that doing that would discourage other people of color from being part of juries in the future. They also simply believe that there was no justification for removing said juror. Per NBC, the juror was dismissed after her “allegedly gave conflicting answers about where he lives, in either New York or across the Hudson River in New Jersey.”

Diddy’s defense of this particular juror comes after he had been called out for his misconduct with another juror. Judge Arun Subramanian accused the Bad Boy co-founder of making faces and nodding at members of the jury while witnesses were being questioned. “Mr. Agnifilo, your client was looking at jurors and nodding vigorously,” he told Puff’s attorney Marc Agnifilo last week in court.” This can’t continue or I will give a limiting instruction you won’t like, or other measures including barring your client from the courtroom. Do you understand?”
Agnifilo insisted that it would not happen again, and Subramanian reiterated that it cannot happen again. The “I Need A Girl” artist has been actively engaged in the trial, as he has been seen passing notes to his attorneys and blowing kisses at his mother while she watches the trial from the public gallery.
