Wizkid has been building so much anticipation ahead of his upcoming album Morayo, and now he recendtly dropped a new single Kese (Dance). Released as a lead-up to his upcoming album titled Morayo, which is set to drop on November 22, 2024, Kese is a vibrant Afrobeat anthem that encourages listeners to hit the dance floor. Dropped on November 15, 2024, Kese has catchy lyrics and energetic beats which fuses English, Pidgin, and Yoruba. It’s designed to get people moving and celebrating life.
Kese wasted no time in debuting at number one on Apple Music Nigeria shortly after its release and amassed over 200,000 views on YouTube within a day. Surprisingly though, on the 18th of November 2024, it unexpectedly dropped out of the top 100 on Apple Music Nigeria, leaving fans puzzled about the sudden decline, but returned to the number spot later on.
The track was produced by P2J, and it is a follow-up on Wizkid’s successful collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on Piece of My Heart. The lyrics of Kese emphasize joy and the importance of dancing, with lines that invite listeners to join in the fun. Overall, Kese has already positioned itself as a major hit in Wizkid’s discography, as it continues to capture the importance of celebration and community through music and dance.
