Aaron Hall is reportedly missing in action, according to Liza Gardner and her attorney, Tyrone Blackburn.
Gardner accused Hall and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault in a lawsuit against them from November 2023. Blackburn is now requesting to serve him through newspaper notices in Georgia and California after being unable to track him down successfully.
“I believe that service by publication is now the only remaining option to provide notice of this lawsuit to Mr. Hall. We have effectively exhausted all reasonable methods of locating him. I am unaware of any additional addresses, locations, or persons we could rely on to get the summons directly to Hall. Therefore, publication in newspapers is being sought as a last resort,” Blackburn said in a statement.
Court documents display Gardner’s extensive efforts to locate the “I Miss You” crooner, who’s also one of the founding members of Guy. Processors first tried to serve him at a View Park, Calif., address on June 12, 2024, but it was confirmed by current residents that he’d moved.
A second attempt was made eight days later at a Tarzana, Calif., residence, but the current homeowner confirmed that Hall has moved two years prior. The search for Hall expanded to Ohio, with attempts being made to serve him twice at a Cleveland address in early September 2024. The current occupant denied knowing Hall.
Hall’s last known address was a Woodland Hills, Calif., apartment. Two attempts have been made to serve Hall there: Nov. 6, 2024 and January 2025. Both were unsuccessful.
Gardner claims Hall and Combs sexually assaulted her when she was 16 at a MCA Records event between 1990 and 1991. She alleged Combs gave her alcohol and forced her to perform sexual acts in Hall’s New Jersey apartment. The singer allegedly “burst into the room,” assaulted her and left her feeling “shocked and traumatized.”
Jodeci’s DeVante Swing was named as a witness to the alleged assault, but was dismissed from the lawsuit this past January.
