Fans can look forward to two-stepping, belting out their favorite lyrics, and being amongst good vibes and energy this summer as the highly anticipated Blue Note Jazz Festival’s Black Radio Experience is set to make its return to California.
This year’s lineup is one for the books with headlining performances by Jazmine Sullivan, The Roots, and a third who remains a mystery for now. The star-studded roster also includes Artist in Residence Robert Glasper, who founded The Black Radio Experience and will host the weekend event.
Joining Glasper and the headliners will be a mix of legendary and burgeoning talent, including Lupe Fiasco, Big Daddy Kane, Willow, Saba, Hiatus Kaiyote, Esperanza Spalding, Little Brother, and others. More artists will be announced as the event draws nearer.
“Black Radio Experience and Robtober are the platforms I use to bring all my favorite artists and collaborators together as one big family reunion and this year is no different!” Glasper stated in a press release. “I’m honored to be part of such an amazing community and bring that community back together for another dope weekend in Napa.”
The Blue Note Jazz Festival first launched in New York back in 2011, and the Napa edition began in 2022 with Glasper curating the experience. Past headliners have included John Legend, NAS, Mary J. Blige, Chance the Rapper, Maxwell, Jill Scott, and more.
This year’s festival will take place from Aug. 29 –31 at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, with ticket presales starting on Wednesday (May 7), at 12PM ET. General sales will begin Friday (May 9), at 12PM ET on Blue Note Jazz Fest’s official website.
