Chris Rock‘s brother is standing his ground. Speaking with TMZ, Tony Rock offered a defense for his brother once he learned what allegedly went down after informing the tabloid that he was unaware of the controversy.
“He probably thought because my brother was performing at a shindig… that since he was invited to the party he was entitled to tape the set. Just so you guys know, everybody that does that at a comedy club is a f**king a**hole.”
The 50-year-old comedian continued to explain, “We’re working on material all the time, so if you record it and put it up before the joke is perfected… it’s like a chef giving you a plate of food before it’s finished. It’s like buying a car before they’re done making it. You should wait for the finished product.”

Tony Rock goes on to exclaim, “That guy probably felt entitled because he’s a piece of sh*t. And he said ‘I’ma record this set because im at this party, I was invited and you’re performing here’… especially when it’s Black and white… They’re going to think they’re entitled to do whatever they want to do because you’re Black and you’re working there. That guy’s a d**k.”
According to Newsweek, Chris Rock abruptly ended his performance at a holiday party hosted by billionaire Anthony Pratt last weekend (Dec. 7) after saying, “Our new push will be outer space. We’ll put all the Mexicans on the rockets.”
The outlet reported that the actor “saw something” that upset him from the audience and ranted about not being taped, videoed, or reported on before his exit. Chris Rock has not made a public statement regarding the event or reasoning for ending his performance.
