Diddy has finally landed a small win in court.

AllHipHop reports that U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian has sided with Sean Combs in one ruling, instructing prosecutors on Monday (Dec. 2) to show an affidavit verifying that they’re not responsible for leaking information to the press.

“With this order in hand, both sides can make sure that anyone involved with this case or the related investigation understands what they are not permitted to disclose,” the judge wrote in an official statement. “To be clear, this order isn’t based on a finding that there has been any wrongdoing thus far, as the Court has made no findings at this juncture relating to defendant’s allegations that information related to the case has been leaked. The point of this order is to help ensure that nothing happens from now on that would interfere with a fair trial.”

Combs’ team previously accused prosecutors of divulging details to the public, which they have argued has resulted in “prejudicial media coverage.” Diddy’s legal team states that the leaks to the media have thrown Combs’ right to a fair trial in jeopardy.

Information that Combs’ legal team claims was leaked to the public includes the 2016 surveillance video showing the disgraced mogul attacking Cassie at a hotel. The defense claims that the video was leaked by the prosecutors tied directly to the case.

However, prosecutors have long denied that they were involved in leaking any of the information to the public, let alone behind the Cassie video. In the case, federal prosecutors have implored the court to prioritize the safety and well-being of alleged victims. They pointed to potential risks “of intimidation or tampering” as reasons for not revealing all of their details and information regarding the case.

Sean Combs was recently denied bail for a fourth time and has been behind bars in Brooklyn since September.

Combs faces three counts included in the recent indictment, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The mogul’s trial is set for May 5, 2025.
