Funsho Adeoti breaks silence following backlash over co-wife, Mercy Aigbe’s unfortunate property loss

Funsho Adeoti, the first wife of Nigerian film producer and marketer Kazim Adeoti, has broken her silence following the backlash she faced over her Instagram post a few days ago.

Amidst the controversy, Funsho took to social media to emphasize the importance of gratitude and thanksgiving.

Quoting from the Bible, specifically 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Funsho urged her followers to cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving, even in the face of adversity.

She shared her approach to gratitude, revealing that she makes it a point to thank God in all circumstances, regardless of how challenging they may be.

In her words:

“1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us.

Thankful in all circumstances, even when those circumstances are difficult.”

This post comes on the heels of a firestorm of criticism Funsho faced for sharing a Thanksgiving message on Instagram, mere hours after her husband’s second wife, Mercy Aigbe, suffered a significant loss.

Many felt that Funsho’s timing was insensitive, given the circumstances.

However, others rallied around Funsho, pointing out that she regularly expresses gratitude on her social media page. They argued that her post was simply a reflection of her personal values and should not be misconstrued as a thoughtless or insensitive gesture.

Drifting to a different report, actress Moyo Lawal extended a helping hand to her colleague Mercy Aigbe, donating N500,000 after a fire outbreak ravaged the latter’s house.

On Wednesday, the filmmaker shared the devastating news of her loss with a video and a short message revealing no life was lost.

In a fresh update, Mercy Aigbe took to her Instagram page to express gratitude for Moyo Lawal’s generosity.

Alongside a screenshot of the transaction Mercy Aigbe wrote:

“Omg 🥹🥹 @moyolawalofficial just sent me 500k to support my movie 🙏🙏🙏 I am so overwhelmed with the love shown me from everyone 😭😭😭😭😭

“I am so emotional right now 😭 @moyolawalofficial this is such a surprise 😭 God bless you immensely! I am so so so grateful 🙏🙏 Guys please help me say a big Thank You to her.”
