Kodak Black is back sharing his drug use with the world unprovoked and creating controversy in the process. The 27-year-old doubled down on being a meth user in his recent viral freestyle.
Yak was one of the latest performers on the popular New York platform On The Radar, joined by Just Brittany and Taylor So Made. He opened the cypher and midway through his verse rapped, “Young ni**a with a meth habit.” This is not a new revelation, as he told the world in 2023 that he uses meth when he was suspected of snorting cocaine. Nonetheless, social media erupted as if they didn’t know about this previously.
“Lost me with meth habit,” one fan wrote. Another thought it was a cool admission, writing, “I [f**k] wit yak that meth bar was diabolical.” Another user attempted to educate those who took issue: “It’s a homage to [Trick Daddy] lowkey. But saying a meth habit is wild my boy.” Whatever the case may be, Black had no problem doubling down on this, and fans feel how they feel. Listen to the On The Radar cypher below.
Kodak Black has had multiple drug-related arrests over the last decade. In 2015, he was taken into custody for marijuana possession. In 2022, he was reprimanded for oxycodone trafficking. The following year, he was suspected of carrying cocaine, but it turned out to be oxycodone once again; however, this time, he had a prescription.
Percocet has been one of his most enduring addictions, which he highlighted in his 2022 hit “Super Gremlin” when he rapped, “I knew the percs was fake, but I still ate it cause I’m a gremlin.” In June 2024, Yak got vulnerable with a live performance crowd when he said, “I was chewing 100 Percs a day, man. Average like 40. Average! If I was f**king with them fake sh*ts, bruh, I’d have been dead. Bruh, I say that, I’m explaining myself now. I don’t want y’all to hear that and take that and feel like it’s okay to do that sh*t, ya feel me?”
