Mike Epps‘ differences with Shannon Sharpe appear to have been reignited.
The comedian seemingly criticized the alleged contrast in Sharpe’s line of questioning when interviewing Black celebrities to his approach when speaking with white guests on his Club Shay Shay podcast.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (March 4), Epps was asked if he intends to ever appear on Club Shay Shay, with the comedian expressing his refusal to appear on the platform.

“Naw, I ain’t going to do no Club Shay Shay,” the Indiana native began before accusing Sharpe of “grilling” a disproportionate amount of Black guests on his show, as opposed to the white interview subjects who’ve appeared.
“Shannon Sharpe, y’all got to bring some white men on here and and grill them,” Epps challenged the ESPN First Take analyst.

The funny man accused Sharpe of using negative portrayals and narratives about his Black guests as “click-bait” to generate views of his content. “Y’all got to bring some white men on here and and grill them,” Epps said.
“You can’t just grill Black people, that sh*t ain’t right. And I know we make money off click baiting, but clickbait them white folks. Get some of your NFL players that you know was f**ked up. Get him on his show.”

Epps then addressed Sharpe directly, slightly tempering his comments while requesting that the former gridiron star present a more diverse array of talent on his podcast.
“We’ve got to balance it out, man,” the Next Friday star urged. “Shannon Sharpe, if you’re listening, we want to see you interview some of them white football players that was in the NFL that was f**ked up just to balance [it out.]”

Insisting that his comments weren’t based “on no race sh*t,” Epps remained steadfast in his stance regarding Sharpe’s content.
“You can’t just interview Black men and let them pour out all they pain on these on these podcasts, man,” the 54-year-old lamented. “That’s some bullsh*t.”
Epps’ comments came off as surprising to some, being that he and Sharpe publicly settled their differences during NBA All-Star Weekend in 2024.
Following a war of words between the two parties, the pair posed for a photo together, which Sharpe published on his social media account at the time.
While the majority of guests who appear on Club Shay Shay are Black entertainers, he has also hosted multiple white guests on his show over the years, including Dana White, Gary Owen, and Teddy Swims.
