Kai Cenat has chosen Kendrick Lamar as the winner in his battle with Drake. In a new interview with Billboard, the content creator dished about his opinion on the feud, and, while Cenat may be friends with Drizzy, he didn’t play favorites in his analysis of the situation.

Cenat stated the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud was his “favorite moment” from his stacked 2024 and gave props to both artists for bringing some juice to the culture at that time—as well as his channel.

“That was the most fun experience I’ve had,” he stated, detailing the Great Rap War of 2024. “I’m not going to lie. We never experienced something like that. It was a good week. Everybody had their opinions. I was literally hopping on stream and had like 60,000 viewers. As soon as they dropped, my sh*t was spiked to like 100,000.”

“I’m cool with Drake, so people would expect me to be on Drake’s side. But I’m not going to lie – Kendrick won that battle. It was good. I loved every second of it. I was just appreciating the moment. Like, bro, we got bangers right now that’s dropping back to back, and everybody’s talking about them. It was definitely fire.”

Hilariously enough, Cenat was actually named in Drizzy’s lawsuit against UMG due to his live reactions to the battle. The defamation suit listed the Georgia-based creator’s video playing “Not Like Us” as an example of Universal Music Group strategically removing copyright strikes, restrictions, and claims from Twitch and YouTube “for the purpose of spreading the [song] and its defamatory content, as broadly as possible and as quickly as possible.”

Kai Cenat recently read through the lawsuit on stream and responded to his name being found in the legal documents, exclaiming, “Wait, why am I in this sh*t?! Wait, hold on! I’m getting sued?!” As he continued, Cenat mentioned the now-infamous moment when Drake DM’ed him on Instagram telling him to “stay on stream” so he could premiere his diss track, “Family Matters,” on Cenat’s Twitch. “Ni**a, this night I was told to stay on stream!” he added before detailing that every video and stream he released his “monetized.” “Ni**as ain’t that weak! Both ways, ni**as ate crazy, gang. I wasn’t even complaining. All my sh*t’s monetized.”
